Our Weekend

As I get closer to my due date, you can rest assured that my posts will grow more and more mundane (as you will see in this one :) ).  I had mentioned in MPM earlier today, that I've hit that "cooked", "done", "enough already" wall.  This preggo is tired...but nonetheless, plugging away.  So for those who look forward to not only pictures, but also somewhat introspective commentary of the happenings here at Casa de Robertson, I give you fair warning- don't expect it in this post- LOL...
or those that will follow in the weeks ahead.

To the point of the post...we had ourselves yet another exciting and full weekend of fun with many of our amazing friends.  Here's the recap:

Thursday we had The Crescis over for some play time and dinner.  Katherine brought over her "science experiement"- a homegrown watermelon!  It was fun cutting into it and tasting the fruits (no pun intended) of her labor.

Friday evening Big Sis and I headed out for a "Girls Night Out"- or as she referred to it- our "Playdate". :)  We met The Davidsons, The Schlueters, and the The Crescis for dinner and then went together to see the play Aladdin.
She was sooo excited at the idea of time, just the two of us (so was I!!).

Here's Mia with Maddie, Hunter, and Cari at the play.

She was in awe of the whole play as she viewed it from the comforts of my lap
(my favorite part- cuddle time for almost 2 whole hours!!).

At the end of the play we had the chance to meet Princess Jasmine!!!
Who needs to go to Disney World- we have princesses right here in our neighborhood!!!

Saturday morning the girls and I got up early to head to yet another Fall Festival (we sure cannot get enough of them apparently :) ).
Yep, another petting zoo to scope out!  Petting these animals never grows old for this one!

Taking a moment to display some lovin' for one another- this will never get old to me!
I LOVE the way they LOVE one another!

Some of the gang posing in front of a fire truck- Cari, Katherine, Macie D, and Mia Louise.

Would you even believe it, we got our face (or arms) painted...a butterfly nonetheless! :) :)

We "rode" on a tractor!!!!

And played in the jumpees till our hearts were content!

We ended the morning with a little horseback riding!

Saturday evening we met up with The Hutchersons and carpooled to a friend's house for a relaxing night outdoors (well most of the time anyway) enjoying the awesome, crisp, Fall nights we are finally getting here.
Yep, that is a slot machine.  And yep, this one, after hours playing, is ready to hit up Vegas!

We finished the weekend off with church and volunteering during the day on Sunday, chores while the girls took their naps, and then play time and a yummy dinner at The Haneys.

Spending time with friends; it's such a gift, such a blessing.  Something I wouldn't trade for the world...even if it happened to be an uninterrupted nap.  Thank you to all of our amazingly wonderful friends for making our weekend one to remember!!
