Preschool Party

On Thursday of this week Mia had her first preschool Halloween Party.  I had the opportunity to help plan and participate in this fun event at school.  We created a little art project, played "Hot Pumpkin", went trick-or-treating, listened to some bopping Halloween music, played a ghost game, had a yummy pizza lunch (with waaay too many desserts!), and read some Halloween books.  The little costumed kiddos seemed to have had a great time- it was displayed by their messy costumes, frosting-covered faces, and stamped up extremities (one little boy even had stamps on his face-oops! :) ).
Playing Hot Pumpkin was super fun!
The kids  figured out that if they were left with the pumpkin when the music stopped, they would get a spider ring.  Some decided they would NOT pass the pumpkin till a ring was on their little finger!
 So funny!!

Our attempt at a group shot!

Yes, this would be our "Future Teacher".
After Mom read some Halloween books to her class, Mia decided she would do the same.
"The teacher" gathered everyone around, asked them to sit "criss cross applesuace" and listen quietly to her story.  Cutest thing ever!

Could not get over the fact that Mommy was in her classroom with all her "new friends"!  She had the best time...and of course her mom soaked up each and moment of fun with her little M&M!
(Sidebar: This was last year's costume but I was not about to let the "real" costume get all dirty- I was not in the mood to be cleaning icing and pizza sauce off before this weekend! :) ).

The little preschoolers all left this Thursday afternoon with full tummies, bags stuffed with Halloween goodies...and hopefully some lasting memories of their Halloween Party in Ms. Cameron's class.

Looking forward to Halloween Weekend with my little cupcakes!!!
Happy Halloween Weekend to you!
